HyperSerialPort is a Serial Terminal Emulator that works with any Serial Port including USB to Serial Virtual COM Ports. The HSP has several built in test tools that assist in the development of embedded electronics such as: Python Scripting Evaluator, Auto-Send Characters, External Trigger etc. It is built on the .NET Framework 4.0 from Microsoft and designed for Windows 7 and 8 Systems. It is a 32 bit application. How is HyperSerialPort used HyperSerialPort runs on any Windows Vista, 7, and 8 PC. It uses the Virtual COM Port driver of the USB to Serial Converter (or the physical COM Port driver of the PC). Tools included in Hyper Serial Port: Python Scripting Evaluator: The Python Scripting Evaluator allows developers to run Python scripts within the HyperSerialPort environment. This will allow users to develop real time feedback loops to mimic processor to device communications. The user could write a script to emulate an I2C device and use an embedded processor to communicate with the I2C device and debug communication errors. Caution must be used when using this mode. HyperSerialPort does not put any restrictions on using Python scripts. The user could scripts which could damage the OS. Care must used when writing Python scripts in this mode. Auto-Send Character: The Auto-Send Character Function allows the user to send a repeating character or string at a timed sequence over the serial port. This function utilizes the high resolution property of Windows 7 OS. This will allow the timer to reach up to 700 microsecond time between characters sent. Some caution must be exercised with timed sequences in the Windows 7 OS. This operating system is a non-deterministic operating system. This means, it cannot guarantee the timer will expire at 700 microseconds for each sequence. External Trigger: The External Trigger function will pause the incoming characters on a serial port until a selected character or string appears on the selected trigger serial stream. This allows the user to capture an event that may be difficult to see when a serial stream is continuously updating the serial terminal window. Multi-Terminal Window: The Multi-Terminal Window allows multiple terminal windows to be opened each attached to it's own serial port. The multi-terminal window allows the user to view several serial port communications simultaneously.

From Hyper Serial Port:- Replies (6) . It will take you approx 5 minute to put drive in computer B, couple of reboots, and then you can migrate whole hard drive. Because serial port is slow (max 192kbps), think 8GB USB2 drive (@ $10). USB2 transfers data @2MB/s. But I would use a program called Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier to do data transfer: (1) it uses DMA.
- In computing, a serial port is a serial communication interface through which information transfers in or out one bit at a time (in contrast to a parallel port). Throughout most of the history of personal computers, data was transferred through serial ports to devices such as modems, terminals, and various peripherals. While such interfaces as Ethernet, FireWire, and USB all send data as a.
- The serial port standard is RS-232. This standard is used for transmitting serial communication between devices, which are usually called data communications equipment (DCE) and data terminal equipment (DTE). The serial port uses a nine-pin (DE-9) connector or a 25-pin (DB-25) connector. Originally, the standard used 25 pins.

I know that in J2ME
CommConnection
is the connection to use when working with serial port
. I know there are the openInputStream
and openOutputStream
methods , but in fact I don't know how to transfer data from my MIDLet to the COM port ( the USB port into which the phone's cable is inserted , the phone is Alcatel OT-806D ). For example I want to send the text 'Hello world'. How to achieve that ?Here are codes :
J2ME :
J2SE : ( Eclipse )
![Port Port](/uploads/1/3/4/3/134347801/270473297.jpeg)
Serial Data Transfer
I run the J2SE program , I inserted the mobile phone cable into the computer ( in the USB slot ) , I clicked the
upload
command in the J2ME app , but there is nothing in the output screen of the eclipse !So what's the problem ? https://blinkever497.weebly.com/blog/kj-windows-activator.
I run this J2SE code to detect the port on which the phone's cable is :
And it shows COM4 because when I detach the cable then only COM1 and LPT1 are displayed.
So what's the problem ?

Your phone seems to be well detected by the computer as connected on the virtual COM port 4. However, this is not clear to me that you should use the COM port protocol on the phone side to communicate with the computer. It is perfectly possible that there is simply a buffer on the phone, that once filled will be delivered on the usb port.

I don't know your phone but I have already programmed a microcontroller. Gadmei usb tv box driver. https://blinkever497.weebly.com/gateways-to-art-free-download.html. There I was never using the COM port protocol and managed to communicate with a computer with virtual com port driver.

To understand better my point, you can probably refer to documentation of the microcontroller present on your phone.
